M51 (why not to image under bright Moon)

I did this a week or so ago under about 45% Moon. I have really struggled with the background and star colours. Perhaps I'll just stick to imaging with no Moon. Anyway it proves the point for those tempted to images in bright sky. Canon 750d on ED120. 200sec exposures at 800iso.

It is what it is ... and to me it is quite clearly M51, so that's a plus! Compared to the alternative of getting nothing, I'd certainly say you were ahead on the deal.
