A couple of nights on the Moon and some decent seeing!

Finally got to use the Asi290mm on the Moon. The smaller pixel size really does make image scale a bit awkward with my C9.25.

1st four from the 25th, the 2nd four from the 27th. All with the Asi290mm, IR/UV cut filter, at the native focal length.

The first two and last two are seriously rubbish

Why, because they give solid evidence that there is no way that I can hope to achieve such detail!  

Those images not only show surface detail, but mountain high detail.

Given good seeing conditions we can all produce detailed images, unfortunately nights these are few and far between.

Indeed - what software are you using to capture? - I'm using Sharpcap onto a SATAII SSD @~ 150fps - as long as its memory buffering keeps up. But it does gobble up storage doesn't it

I am using Firecapture. A fantastic piece of software, I use for all my astrophotography.
