Cone in Ha and HaRGB

I really like the Ha. I'm not so keen on the way the Ha is blended with the OSC because of the blue halo thing. This usually arises from using Ha as luminance. (It's a great image and I'm being very fussy but the blue haloes are a distraction for me.)

A beautiful rendering of the NGC 2264 region.  And I am just fine with “blue haloes”: to me, they add a touch of necessary reality to what are often just otherwise simply expressions of software-constructed artwork.  Through the eyepiece, the Christmas tree stars burn like tiny blue sparks, and this image invokes the same magic with the added bonus of showing detail far beyond the capability of the naked eye.

Thanks everybody !

I agree with Olly that blending in the Ha is better done in the RED channel, and it is something I try first, but for some reason it hardly made any difference, so I ended up mixing the Ha in the L layer.
