Apollo_95
I recently got the 8mm BST Starguider EP for my Skywatcher 130 Heritage. Ive already had great views of Jupiter & the Moon but Im looking to get a bit more out of my scope. Im swithering over now getting the 3.2mm or 5mm BST EP’s to get better views of Jupiter & Saturn when it reappears. Although my scope has a max mag of 260x from what ive read approx 200x is the max mag recommended. Has anyone used the 3.2mm with the heritage? Is it too strong an EP to get decent views of the planets? My budget is abt £50 for anyone that has other recommendations
Peter Drew
I think a 5mm eyepiece would be a better bet, the planets are currently very low in the sky so will not readily support magnifications as high as usually recommended.
wookie1965
As Peter has said the 5mm the 3.2mm is too high power for your scope.
