1st clear night

      Hello everyone. I bought my first telescope a few weeks ago, and finally got a clear sky tonight. In central Illinois, February usually means cold with a chance of rain, and or snow. I've had a chance to look at the moon a couple times, but that's about it. However, tonight is excellent. Not a cloud in the sky. I actually was able to see the Orion Nebula. Awesome! I think I see an eyepiece obsession coming on. LOL!   Clear skies everyone

I have a Meade LX70 R8. An 8" newtonian on an equatorial mount.  Love it.  I'm learning a lot here. Thanks everyone for the warm welcomes.
