Petergoodhew
It's now galaxy season so here is NGC2403. Imaged from Spain in collaboration with Alistair Macpherson. LRGB with a splash of Ha added. 8 hours of total data. Comments, criticism and suggestions welcome as always.
Rodd
That's a nice image. Perhaps drop the black point a touch and its amazing. I have never heard of this galaxy before and its is a big one! I checked the location and it is easily imaged this time of year. Wow! Rodd

Black point adjusted a bit. Yes it seems to be relatively unknown - I guess that's one reason I was attracted to it.

ampleamp
good work Pete; it might be my monitor but i am getting some green around the galaxy arms and edge; might be worth a look - ??

Can't see it on my monitor Alistair. I just ran a full-strength Hasta La Vista Green on it and it didn't seem to make any difference (I'm pretty sure that I had already done that as it's usually the last step of my workflow). I do find that images vary dramatically from monitor to monitor - and mine are certainly not calibrated.
Tom OD
Very nice. This was on my Winter list, but I ended up at IC342 Tom
ampleamp
definitely my monitor; i am using a completely different machine now and no green. Trouble is, the green was showing on the supposedly calibrated monitor!
Demonperformer
Yes, a nice target. I prefer the second one. To me it looks sharper on the inner part of the spirals (that's probably the wrong term technically). And this target benefits from the Ha you have mixed in. So, if it's galaxy season, spring must definitely be on the way - someone tell the weather!
