My alternative to Star Adventurer (sort of)

I wanted to be able to guide my DSLR on the mount without piggy backing it on a scope. I saw a post on Cloudy Nights by "dayglow" so I thought that I would have a go. As you see, it's just a 100x50x5mm aluminium bar which I have bolted to a mini dovetail (the sort that Modern astronomy sells for use with a DSLR) and bolted on a synta guidescope foot. I also have a red dot finder that I can mount on the cameras hot shoe. I am debating whether to put my ED80 on first to align or just align using the DSLR lens - we'll see. Cost was under £20 in total for all parts.
