A good 3 hrs on M42-M43 and the Running Man

Recommended Posts

Combined two evenings' worth of data into a single image. Had to crop a bit due to rotation of the images with respect to each other. All data collected with my APM 80mm F/6 triplet, Tele-Vue TRF2008 0.8x reducer, Canon EOS 550 D (modded), ST80 guide scope with ASI178MM as autoguider, all on top of my humble EQ3-2 mount. A total of 10920s or 3h 2 mins exposure. Almost all processing in APP, with cropping and a few final tweaks with curves in GIMP.

Will try to get more data if the weather clears, just to see if I can get more of the dust and gas in the background. Quite addictive, this DSO imaging stuff.
