Well done Caz , i bet you were excited , its a lovely planet to look at , loads of activity always going on with it , lol i always remember my first view , like you , i had a Dob at the time , and the only way i could see it at the time was about 4 in the morning , and lol i carried the Dob out into the middle of the street , in my dressing gown , black one in case you were interested ehehhehe , and slew the old Dob around , my first sight , WOW JUST LIKE YOU . so i know how you feel ,

Saturn & Jupiter are real crowd pullers, and can get even the most passive Astronomer hooked.

M31 / M57 / M27 next on the list then (M57 is a fave of mine, you will have to wait a while though as its a summer target or as I like to call them - T shirt observing daze)
