Wow! Beautiful shots there. I like the first image of Orion better. The stars seem to pop more against the red backdrop.
Lovely shots though and thank you for sharing. As a newbie to AP, these photos really help with confidence because what seems impossible at the moment with the mind boggling learning curve regarding stacking, processing etc. You (and others) demonstrate what can be achieved. 
I'm really looking forward to the day I hang my first photo on my office wall with pride - "I took that"

Nice set of images. I also prefer the first M42 a bit more
