Lots of colour up there, the "Garnet Star" just blasted out bright colour , went over to the violet / green combo of the triple in IC1396.

Then waiting for UMa to climb , had a great tour of bright carbon stars. With UMa up and some beautiful views of binaries, including the close Σ1559, super skies for splitting. This comes in at x2" , just under Tegmine which split nicely ( again).

There's a few more bits on the lists ! Hind's Crimson comes up blood red , put at least x150 on it. Still struck by how good Cancer and Auriga looked ,NGC 2281 being magnificent. Both " winter Albireos " looked lovely , I prefer iota Cancri, stronger colours, enjoy !

Trιed NGC 2355, supposed to be the" Jedi cluster"IMG_5529.thumb.JPG.49e9a93e806ebd3bc8958765bf9ea290.JPGIMG_5528.thumb.JPG.912ff2b1c58d236b1e91748fc243e963.JPGIMG_5530.thumb.JPG.4909b883019c450a37fcd421fb85ff6d.JPGIMG_5531.thumb.JPG.e9fb3fdd31f7f8e0d2e45a0be3a36a27.JPG, but they must have been elsewhere saving the Galaxy. Simple 4" frac and pull in the treasures. Spent ages on Alula Australis, but somehow as the night went on , the sky got lighter !

Clear skies ! Nick.

Enclosed SAO numbers and coordinates.
