eyepiece dust cap

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know where I can find a dust cup of 72mm diameter?

Alternatively, do you reckon it is safe to store an eyepiece inside a plastic bolt case without top dust cup?

Thanks,

Piero

Good link there. For some reason the Docter 12.5mm is sold without dust caps.

I never understood that.. Indeed, it comes with a posh (and useless) leather case, and without cheap (and useful) lens caps!  :dontknow:

I'm sure it would be perfectly fine.  The bolt case takes the place of the dust cap.  Many come with closed cell foam end bumpers (snug fit disks) that will cushion the ends and protect the glass.
