Hello from Holland

Hello Everbody,

My name is Gert and i am from Holland.
I am into astronomy for 5 years now and started with a bresser Jupiter 70/700 refractor.

At first my interest lay at the Moon and Planets, but after a while Deep Sky got my attention.
That meant another telescope, so now i have a SW 8" Dobson and a SW 130p Flextube.
The 8"dobson opened a whole new world up there!

I like to observe the Messier and NGC objects, i am a great fan of Starcluster.
So thats a little bit about me.

Hello Gert.  I have enjoyed visiting Nijmegen a few times!

I too began with a 70mm frac.  Yes, clusters are great, and double and carbon stars can provide much observing pleasure.

Hi Gert, welcome to the Stargazers Lounge.

When aperture fever strikes again, just think what a 12" or larger scope could provide? 
The 12" is just a dream for me at present! The 8" is more manageable  under the present conditions.
