Hi, I just thought that DIY observatory makers may be interested in a company that I have found.

Fibre-Sports Basildon Essex.

I have ordered a GRP dome in light grey 1220mm across and 610mm high.

Cost a very reasonable £240 plus vat.

I will collect as i am near but they do deliver and other stock sizes are available.

I have a new summer house. I am going to build a flat roof dormer to house the GRP dome and cut a hols inside the full diameter.

I am mounting the scope at about five feet on a concrete and steel pier which is cut through the floor of the structure and down into ground.

A series of pictures and explanations will follow, weather being the stalling block as usual!
