A pair of afocal globular clusters

Recommended Posts

Both shots 24x16secs - processed with DSS and GIMP. Olympus 2020z compact digital camera + 32mm eyepiece on F6 8.5" Newtonian. From Sunday night. Now if only they really were that close on the sky ...

Those are excellent considering the imaging confuguration. Afocal is pretty demanding where guiding is concerned, and those are pretty tight. Very good indeed Nigel.

Stunning for afocal images of globs well defined stars and nice cores :)

Billy...

p.s. I think Billy's "Nebula Frenzy" will be replaced by a "crazy cluster crescendo" in the next imaging session...as I have sadly neglected them to date.
