Target recommendation

Can you'll recommend me some good targets for my setup

GSO 10 f4 astrograph newtonian 

Canon 700d unmodded and 550d modded 

Neq6 and asi 120 autoguider. I can get 5mins images with nice round stars. 

I need some bright galaxies (ngc Caldwell and messier)  or nebula

You can never go wrong with M42

How about a challenge? M78. I gave up with my 150mm after 4 hours. 4 hours of 5 minute frames with your 10" should be spectacular. Good luck with whatever you choose

If tonight is as clear as last night I'm going to try for M78 too.

Last night' Horse ead came out great.

Clear skies :-)

Any-one going for M78, its difficult if not impossible to get from LP skies I have found.  

Recommendations for bright targets:

M42

Rosette Nebula

Horshead nebula

Jellyfish

Targets that are better in dark locations:

M78

Cone Nebula

Thor's helmet (low)

With an F4, M31 should be pretty nice too.

That's the spirit! Here's my 4 hours. It's very difficult and right near the equator. Maybe we need a 'M78 challenge thread'. Cheers and good luck.
