Its not the best day with some high cloud but at least the Sun is trying to peak through.

I noticed that there was a new sunspot AR2699 using the Lunt solar binos so I have grabbed the PST without the DS to see more detail. Well the Sun is not that active but at least there is a Sunspot with two smaller Umbra areas following although all is classified as AR2699.

There are signs of small Proms on the same side as AR2699.

OK not the best observing session but hopefully the snow/sleet etc will clear the air for tomorrow.

nothing here yet, still snowing, thanks for the report Mark, yes I'm hoping for better tomorrow too, clear skys. charl. 

heres my best so far snow transiting the sun.

and then 2 min before its outa range it gives me this, its teasing me.

I'm happy getting the 1 frame.
