Double cluster mosaic

Recommended Posts

Here's my attempt at the Double Cluster; a mosaic of two images - it looked a bit squashed as one image and so it ended up a bit 'widescreen' :?

10" f/6.3 newt, Canon 400D, each pane was 15 x 60 second subs.

Best I have ever laid eyes on Ian. Without a doubt mate, it is excellent. As good, if not better than eyeballing it. Just great. :salute:

Is that a hint of reflection neb in the left hand Knot, or am I seeing things?

Ron. :)

Many thanks Ron - it sounds like you like it :)

Hi Martin, it was taken from my light polluted back garden a week last Saturday, really enjoyable night and everything just seemed to work :D

Cheers for the comments Billy and Jeff

Nice one Ian, thanks for sharing :)

How did you avoid spikes on the stars? Curved spider vanes?

I love the double cluster - presenting it like that is brilliant!

Thanks everyone, I never expected such a positive response, I'm really chuffed

Hi Steve, yes it's a 3 curved vane arrangement, the vanes are a little on the thick side but you can't have everything - it's a sturdy old spider though :)

Thanks again,

Ian
