Sorry. I misremembered. The views were really good though. An alternative to the 100mm 20mm is the ES 24mm 82°. Iy works really well with the 10” f4.7.

Paul

I think we would all love a 10" dob that would fit the whole Veil in :)

Fitting each section in at a time is almost as good though, and as you say, the detail is lovely.

Good luck with your new scope Neil, major step up in size.
That is a really nice build from Steve, so should be a pleasure to use.

Based on your normal observations with the 130, this should be stonking.
As others have said look forward to the observing reports.

I've been waiting for the confirmation your new toy has arrived safely.

Good luck and clear skies, hope first light won't be too long.

Thank you, Alan. Very excited. Forecast not looking too great at the minute. Might have a shot Wednesday or Thursday but Friday looks good. Moon will be up so will have a nice big easy target to get everything aligned and to start to get used to the new scope :)

Thank you, Alan. The mount is really well put together and not heavy either. Won’t have any troubles moving it around which is great news.

Can’t wait to see just how much difference doubling my aperture will make. I’m sure there’ll be some properly over excited observing reports to come!
