celestron 5se or 6se or 8se

Recommended Posts

"I have a couple of questions on the set up of the hand set with the celestron auto align and a mead ccd camarer to start with".

You saying that you got a CCD camera included in the £800, and other goodies?.

Sounds like the bargain of a lifetime.

We need to see pics of everything you got, so we can drool over them.

I will post some pics of the bits.

whent out to Beacon hill (local beuty spot high up and good vantage point.

Well the moon was just coming up rig too.

set up-had a coffee- clouds came over-another cup- moon came out.

could not get the sse camara to work at all. so I manualy pointed to the moon 35mm eye piece.....Blew my head off what a scope.....

wouild not align no matter what I did...got so cold and the wind  it was rocking the scope and me.

Still good for day one..

As the sse hand set was not working when I got home and warmed up a bit I re connected the original nxs hand set

It worked with all the options of 1,2,3 star alignments

Next time align with this set up

Tried to download an update for the sse hand set but fed up with trying every thing .. Still will not find the hand set. finds the

   serial port on   com 4

but the  file manager cannot connect to the hand set..

play again tomorrow

regards

You're in for a treat, you have a very capable scope.

Unfortunately it is a steep learning curve when we get our first scope but the rewards are well worth the effort.

Remember you have a wealth of information available from  members here who are always ready to help and advise.

Good luck and enjoy.
