I think I've got this as far as I can. I'm looking forward to some point when I might be able to add some more data, seems unlikely in the short term though...

Thanks Billy and Ron. Billy I already GradX'ed it twice... The third time I tried it didn't make any difference to the image...

Ron, it's for removing gradients across the image. Have a look here

Ah but how did you use it did you do the multi-stage approach as suggested in the tutorial at the Waid Observatory? I find that method of using it works the best :)

MMmmm. Looks a tidy bit of software. I like the $10 discount for buying Wodaski's book.

Pointless buying it until I get something to use it on. :)

Ok, I read the tutorial, it's on the GradX site, rather than the vid. ran it through... and Yep it's better now. There's probably more can be done, I think for once I shall have to read the documentation... there goes my geeky reputation :)
