Hello, 

We have just released our first mobile app - APT Darkness Clock (APT DC) which allow to calculate the Deep Sky Darkness (DSD) time for selected night.

Looks useful but it will not let me add a place with Longitude as a negative number. Samsung Galaxy A5 won't give me a minus on the keyboard only a dot.

Will try another device.

Many thanks! We will try to make a simulation for A5. On the test Moto here it is working!?!? Does it behaves same for all 3 locations? ( Just to exclude copy-paste error )

Hi David,

Could you make a screenshot (usually by holding Power and Volume Down buttons pressed in same time) and take a look which version of Android is running on your A5?

Works fine on samsung note 4, can add a - by using the keyboard that displays.

I'm not sure about the time though, is base time UTC, GST or something else?

Full ADT I don't think is going to be 11:23 at night for me unless that's because of the Moon being slightly around.

What is Full ADT? The DSD is taking into account the Moon...

Should add on the nexus I had to manually enter the location coordinates on the note 4 the two fields auto populated. Which is fine as the nexus doesn't have gps by default turned on.

Just downloaded it. It's fine with my moto z. 

I'd love to see too an apt, the main one,  for android. Is there a possibility?

A full port of APT to mobile platform is not possible, however some alternatives are considered in a bit longer term

2018/01/31 - v1.1 New features and more
- Added possibility to use the app on devices without GPS
- Added possibility to copy the current coordinates as stored location
- Added possibility to grant GPS access from the app, no need to go to the applications settings

 

- Reduced messages for getting the GPS coordinates
- Removed unused permission requirement for “full network access”
- Fixed a spelling error
- Optimizations here and there

There is one more update that fixes rare bug in calculating Moon rise time in particular situation.

Hi, I'm having trouble with the app on both my devices. I've got a saved location set up on both and attempt to switch to it and what ever I try, refresh, save and calc etc, my DSD times are N/A. The app is up to date, and have tried with location services on or off.

Anything you can suggest I try please?

I hate to say this but... it doesn't do very much does it? I get the same from Clear Outside app and that tells me the weather as well.
