Samyang 14mm dew strap placement

Hello, just asking folk who own and have used a dew band on this lens, where is the best position to place the dew strap on this lens? On the radius of the hood or on the body? I put mine on the body and still had dew? Maybe my settings weren't giving it enough heat?

I have the 10mm Samyang. Unfortunately the plastic parts in the lens casing lead to poor heat transfer to the glass in the lens. I put mine around the lens hood and I have yet to have a problem.

I also run the dew strap quite a bit warmer that I would for a telescope.
