Following my popular "Stargazing on La Palma" thread, two coaches set of up the mountain for a daytime visit.

About halfway there the visit was cancelled, a red alert for high winds meant no pedestrians allowed.

The coaches rearranged into those who wanted to go to the top of the mountain but staying in the coach, and those who wanted to go  back.

The coach going up wouldn't restart.

Got going up and reached the top. 5 minutes of clear blue sky before the clouds turned it into a 5 mph crawl.

Back at the ship the captain announced that Lanzarote and then La Coruna in Spain were closed due to weather.

We're going home with more money than when we left......

That's lucky then. I can see you investing the money in a new scope or some eyepieces

Wish my holidays were so profitable?
