After being out of the astro game for around 18 months, I decided that there was no reason why I couldn't lug a camera and tripod around(the reason I got rid of my scope etc was the sheer weight of it and the fact I'm riddled with arthritis). I recently purchased the Skywatcher Star Adventurer tracking mount and I'm starting to get some reasonable results.

Anyway, it's good to be back and I wish everyone clear skies!

Welcome back :) This hobby can peak and troth at times, but I notice that it never really goes away if you're astro inclined to begin with.

Welcome back although I don't know you personally, I'm glad you've found a way back into astronomy.

I had my Equinox ED80 on my Star Adventurer the other night and it seemed to cope with it ok. :icon_biggrin:

Perhaps the Mods can give you the level of "Comet" instead of "Star Forming" as you've returned. :)

Welcome back. The Star Adventurer is a good bit of kit. I use one quite a lot.  Great with small refractor- camera combos.  I  quite often use mine with an Altair Astro 66mm. Doublet and  a Canon 600d. You can take some nice widefield images with such a rig . It's also easy to set up and transport to dark sites.

All the best
