I made a rocket like SN8 when I was about ten years old.  I can understand why SpaceX may be having a few problems today.  I had terrible trouble getting the tin foil to stick to the cardboard tube.

Not sure if anyone else interested in this sort of thing, but in about 30 mins there's a live launch here: http://www.ulalaunch.com/webcast.aspx

I know this is a couple days ago now, but I thought I'd share this on here. On the second orbit of the Soyuz MS-18 launch I was able to listen in on the voice communication from the Russian cosmonauts

Hope they've done a risk assessment for that cherry picker, rather them than me

Nah that's not high up!

What a awesome sight. Been watching the live feed. Like something out of thunderbirds.

When it's really like Thunderbirds is when you get two boosters landing back on the pads together.

Lucky they've got hard hats on

Plenty of birds around who might fancy some target practice!

That has to be one of the coolest rocket photos I've ever seen. Probably not safe to launch them both at once though

I've had it on all day in the background and you're right - it is something not been done before.

But, launching 2 together we'll probably not see for a long time. BUT - one day we might.

Seeing 1 take off again and actually land will be something else though. And what next?! Suborbital flight then land?

Exciting times.

That’s really amazing. I remember watching the first time they landed two boosters (but lost the main core on the drone ship). The double sonic boom as they raced back down was incredible.
