Hello from County Durham

Hello Everyone.

Just wanted to introduce myself - got my 1st telescope about a year ago & I'm now getting more into astronomy as I approach retirement at the end of next month. I wanted something to continue to tax my brain as well as provide something to actually do on dark evenings/nights. Although the kit I have is basic, it'll certainly do for learning at present.

Hi Jim and welcome. Having fairly recently retired myself, the one thing I do find is that on those few occasions that we do get clear skies up here in t' North, it's great not to have to worry about getting up for work the next morning. My understanding of image processing in particular has come on in leaps and bounds now that I have more time on my hands.
