Well this is as good as I can get it. I am sure there must be more detail in there as it is 3:15 of 6min exposures!

'tis a steep larnign curve the procesing thing! Stacked in DSS, Levels/Curves in Photoshop and a bit of Noels actions to finish it off!

Nice one. I would imagine theres a ton more data in there.... but I know nothing of processing.... so cant really help you lol

I have added (Via Lighten) a high pass filtered copy. Also did a despeckle, he another despeckly only on the red channel. Think I am finally happy with it

Nice Image with 3:15 of subs there should be an hell of a lot of detail to coax out of it and I think you have "found" quite a bit of it in the 2nd image

Superb M31, for a 2nd attempt that's really good. It's showing the dust lanes right on the edge beautifully.

There is nothing wrong with your tracking or focus. Superb, Im sure you can use this image as a practice for your processing skills :-) When it comes to processing; you *might* have pushed a bit to far; (or pushed the wrong way.) You have dragged out a lot of detail from the image but have gotten some noise with you as well. Knowing when to stop is one of the things I find the most difficult.

I know what you mean, I always tend to push it a bit too far then have to try and remove noise. It's a steep learning curve!
