Over the years I've acquired a large photo album representing the evolution of Takahashi telescopes, refractors, reflectors and mounts. The images were in the main taken by other Tak enthusiasts, with

Heres the first instalment. Enjoy! ?

Here is my Takahashi FC-100DL in white light solar mode:

This Tak porn must stop right now :wink2:

I am having trouble stopping hyperventilating over such things,
please stop feeding my Tak desires more than they already burn.
Until I win the lottery or move they will just smoulder, but then who knows.

All those fine telescopes, very nice and as others have said, what a selection Tak have or do make.
The best thing is all of the scopes you SGLers have shown have been in use, so that's a fine thing in itself.

One day a FS102 (my precious) will be mine. mine, all mine (said in best Lord of the Rings voice).

Here's my Takahashi FS102 in the obsy. Nowadays it's gone walkabout and more likely to be seen on an NEQ6 or a WO EZTouch

I must admit I am very tempted to buy one.... I still get a tad confused with the 1.25/2.0 “ options and the focusser options, this is compounded by the optional extras I would need to be up and running.  I would like one that I could use all my kit on without any fuss ?

Tak Extender-Q (EXQ-1.6 X) on its nice blue box

IMG_8003.JPG

SIGH! ?

Rather stupidly I sold my extender Q, and immediately regretted doing so! Rather than continually screwing it on and off I should have just left it on. It was beautiful! ???

I've definitely got to get another one!!

I don’t own any tak scopes, but last year we had our honeymoon in Japan, and of course a little side trip to starbase Tokyo somehow found it’s way into our itinerary ?

I don't think I would have ever left that shop!

I wonder if the guy in the baseball cap who is slapping his mouth is shocked by the quality or the prices....

The pic gives good opportunity to compare the Tak green with the Tak blue. I have to say that I still prefer the green. And the blue and green definitely don't go together at all well. Still,I dare say I could put up with it

I've just visited the Takahashi USA dealership In Texas, so I thought I share some pics.

The scope with the skull and crossbones is an FS128 on an EM200

They had some used equipment on sale, including a Extender Q x1.6, which I could have picked up for @25585 (although he would have been nervous seeing all those Tak clamshell rings on display)

What a wonderful thread this is !

I still think the P-2Z EQ is one of the most beautiful mounts ever! Most folk I've mentioned this to, think it's 'messy'.... fools.

Totally agree Andy. It's an "Engineer's Mount"

A stunning array of Takahashi scopes on display in showrooms. But I wonder, have any of them seen starlight? No Tak should be denied what is was designed to do.., Just like this one.

Back on page 1, about half way down there is a pic of an ad for a Teegul 100(A tiny D-K). Thinking it cute at the time, low and behold after searching for other astro related stuff, I found a Japanese equivalent of UKAstroBuySell. Whilst flipping through the pages, what should I find but that very type of scope...... http://buyee.jp/item/yahoo/auction/e279033053

Anyway, here's the link to page one of the site http://buyee.jp/item/search/category/2084045043

You'll find lots of lovely old Tak stuff and other classic Japanese scopes etc.

A nice read for a lazy Sunday evening ?
