Baader Hyperion Aspheric 36mm

Great widefield eyepiece and an extra bonus is that it performs fantastic with a Quark.

I use one on an Orion ST80 with a 2" Baader diagonal quite often. It only gives 11.1x but with a 45mm field stop and 6°, 18‘, 22“ of TFOV sweeping the Milky Way is quite breathtaking.

We bought our set based on a review over at CN of the 31mm. The reviewer had over 100 EPs, all top shelf, and he was surprised at their performance. We couldn't go wider than 72* AFOV for bino-viewing reasons, and were glad for these. Also, we bino-scope rather than bino-viewer, so no light loss. Keeping that in mind, we've only ever been able to use the 31mm "properly," w/ our f/6 @ 5mm exit pupil, even at America's first designated Dark Sky Site, Cherry Springs, PA., and at Chaco Canyon, NM. We're older and capped our exit pupil at 6mm, but we just haven't had the conditions to let our 36mm shine as a richest field scope w/ 1.4* of velvet-black sky, but we'll find it. Doesn't stop us using it though, especially to wow the kids. Highly recommended for a number of reasons, and the only EP that allows us to realize the full potential of our scope (we built w/ specs that were based on eyepieces, and had the EPs lined up--and even purchased--before we began the build).
