If the telescope was for Christmas, the clouds are unsurprising. It is a well-known astronomical law that all new equipment comes with a complimentary period of cloudy skies ... even in Texas!

Yeah, we get clouds in Texas unfortunately. Mostly in winter though. Summers are pretty clear but very hot. Thank you all for the warm welcome.
