First night, had an hour before tea.. just getting dark.. I'll post more soon, as I'm at the dinner table and it's a bit antisocial!!

Isn't that just the strangest feeling! -20 here at the moment.. but oddly not as hold as I thought it would.. a dry cold, not damp like at home.

About the not feeling cold, my dad use to say the same about northern Norway, minus 25 and in a T shirt. About 4 yrs ago it was minus 26 here one morning, sun was rising, I was outside in a T shirt for 5 mins and as you say didn't feel cold at all, I am told though if the wind gets up things like arms fall off.
