Ced 214 (aka sharpless 217) in Cepheus

This image is a result of a struggle against dew and the urge to go bananas on a clear sky. I managed to stay focused and keep the entire night to this object.

I've extracted the red channel and copied it onto itself as a luminosity layer. I've been working in that layer with local contrast enhancement and noise reduction.

Nice one Glen

Its nice to see some of the less often imaged stuff Rog does them in Ha you in broadband and I like widefield :bino2:

I'm going to have another 2 nights of widefield then swap over to imaging through the 8" for a while :p

Which will mean colimating the 8" and tweaking the guiding as the "66" wil now have that role... ho humm... eliptical stars here we come...

Billy...

Sharpless & vdb here I come! I have the next few lined up on my "secret list". I'd just hate to see one of the lesser known targets on my list posted in better quality... .-)

Very tight Glenn. Well done for sticking to your guns with one target! It's really hard seeing how we don't actually get much imaging time and all that stuff is up there.

Thank u! .... And I know... How many 100% clear steady nights with no moon and social obligations do we really get? It was a struggle sticking to target :-)
