Very nice Steve, that will make a nice difference to the contrast.

Hope it wasn't looking through the DS Lunt at Sixpenny Handley that sparked that purchase.

Yup, it was looking through your DS - but don't apologise ?. Definite contrast increase.

Quick and nasties with a LifeCam (unprocessed):

Glad that you're pleased with it Steve. Looking forward to participating in international SUNday again.

Some of you may be aware that i have been offloading some of my Astro kit these last few weeks. This was what the money went towards.

Pleased as punch and it lives up to all my expectations in quality. Just figuring out my imaging train but will be hoping for some clear skies next week!

Cheers,

Andy

One step closer to going remote...this will allow me to use my desktop in the house rather than having the laptop outside.

USB over Cat5e up to 50m, works a treat under initial testing...very happy :)

A lovely Nagler 26mm T5, serviced by Tele Vue and now good as new.

While I do not have any cans of baked beans at home (please my fellow astronomers, do not castigate me to the bottomless pits of hell for this transgression), in the spirit of having something to show image scale, here is the Nagler 26mm next to its bigger brother and some pickled cucumbers in vinegar !!!

Lovely little package was awaiting me today after work.

Got better when I opened it up.

A nice shiny Herschel wedge. Thought I'd have a crack at solar viewing for a change.

Sigh, I have the APM branded one. Only managed to use it once as the sun is very uncooperative during the current solar minimum :(

Postie brought one of these. It's a 6ft long portable wheelchair ramp so that I can reach the EP of my mini DOB.

LOL

I'm joking. I bought it so I can go to friends houses for dinner and drinks instead of them coming to mine all the time.

It's a very high quality/ construction. Highly recommend it to anyone. 129.99 from Amazon.

Not had the chance to try it yet but it feels and looks a well made item. Hopefully will get some sun soon and see how it fares.

Looks lovely when the sun hits it.

I wonder how good that'll look with a small LED light shining up from under the centre ?

I got exact same one of those a few months ago. Work, low sun and weather here has conspired against me playing with it yet, not to mention that there's not much going on in white light on the sun right now ?
