Just received my dibond print of my veil mosaic, thrilled to say the least. The photo makes it look a little washed out when in fact it looks quite the opposite.

...and yet another very fine bit, delivered today having been well looked after and scrupulously packaged by yet another SGL friend named Paul.  :icon_biggrin:

I now have two of these, as it gives me 120x with the TV-85 for nice crisp planetary views, and one for in the travel bag with the TV-60 for a nicely framed view of the Moon's disk.

Also with grateful thanks, this time to @martindale, another true gent.

Arrived today! Warranty replacement for faulty ones. Fantastic service from Dan at Celestron, tried to fix the ones I sent back but couldn’t do it so new set sent out. He personally tested the new set before they were posted, and after a brief try tonight I can say I’m very pleased.

Nice Mr Postman has delivered today:

Very pleased with the nearly new Pentax XW 10mm purchased from a forum member.
But have to say, its far bigger than I was expecting, build quality is superb, the best EP in my present stable.
Makes my 11mm Tele Vue Plossl look a tiddler, as indeed it is.

Bought on a whim, now on Beans without toast for quite a while.....
I now very much look forward to first light, of course its clouded out, but of late when isn't it.

More paper and paint for my watercolour painting and another bird feeder for peanuts :)  I don't expect to buy any more astro gear for the foreseeable future.   Maybe nuts and bolts etc. but nothing expensive.

Nice. Welcome to the world of proper eyepieces?

The trouble is with the Pentax XW series, once you have tried one then you wish to start collecting the whole set. The 3.5mm and 5mm and 7mm ( the 10mm which you have got). Are the best in the range IMO and are keepers?

In that case I hope you get some clear sky's. At least that costs nothing??

Yesterday the postman very kindly bought me an 8mm BST starguider, well he left me a note and I had to pick it up after work. Luckily, they are open until 8pm on Wednesdays. Dunno when I’m gonna get to try it out though, forecast is nothing but cloud all week!
