Those eyepieces certainly look better in there than desiccated beef and astronaut ice cream

Now this I would definitely use for lunch at work, where did you get it? you are brave as there is no padding under the lid, unless you can fabricate some.

A brand new SW Evostar 72ED OTA. This is to complement my SW long focal Mak127. It will hopefully be quite comfortable on my AZ-GTI and EQ5 mounts. I’m wanting to try more widefield photography this year and to actually fit those larger DSOs in frame. Next, will be a field flattener then perhaps move on to a the EvoGuide 50 / ASI120M pairing to start guiding. The case is decent too, all quickly delivered via FLO.

What replacement saddles are you going to get? 😁

😁 There was a link posted recently for some very solid looking ones from China, either those or ADM.

Actually the supplied Skytee clamps aren’t that bad these days - I think they’ve been upgraded in recent years. Fine for a light scope, though ADM and other alternatives obv much better

An ADM clamp for the Scopetech Zero so it doesn’t mark my lovely new MoreBlue dovetails! I don’t need the Losmandy format obviously but it was a return so a good price 👍

Not exactly delivered, rather collected from my son’s house as it was a Christmas present. To be fitted this weekend.

Thought I would jump on the bandwagon, as so many have got them recently and I was tired of cold feet:

As suggested, got a size bigger, which was good job as they are on the small side. They were only £ 16.99 from Lidl and are surprisingly comfortable.

It must be Christmas again! After returning something that did not quite work out, I put the money towards this. Thank you FLO.

Looks good, doesn't seem to be any real wobble, as some predict and seems very stable. I got the adapter that @johninderby suggested and whilst it works, it is only going to have to be temporary, it just looks too much like a bodge job. The holes are just not quite in the right place. Just got to wait for the proper ones to come back in stock and for me to sort the money to buy them!

Of course it is solid wall to wall cloud now!

Had a bunch of deliveries over the weekend - no pictures yet though.  EQ8 polemaster adaptor and a William Optics 40cm gold Losmandy plate from RVO and a Nevada power supply and EQ8R lynx astro cable from FLO. The cable has had to be returned though - somehow it's been constructed with rings at one end and a cigar lighter adaptor (instead of an eq8r plug) at the other. Not to worry, the correct one is already on it's way.

Anyway, the most exciting thing was a phone call from a courier in Coatbridge who have another package from FLO but it's so heavy it's on a pallet!! I've arranged delivery for wednesday so there'll be an update then.  No prizes for anyone who guesses what's coming - there's plenty clues above :)

Another fruitful browse in the Oxfam shop, should see me through this cloudy spell.

The Collins guide has a really nice month-per-page & constellation per page charts format that I can see using at the eyepiece.
