What did the postman bring?

Well, not the 5mm, because I don't have one. But I'll be comparing the 6mm and 4mm to my orthos. Experience of the NLVs suggests it will be close.

I'm confused but no probs that's usual. The 4mm is a keeper for me. It is that good, I really don't feel the need to try another after previously trying three other 4mm. The 6mm ortho I like but if the 6mm SLV is miles ahead then that will be on the pressie to self list.

I have the 6mm BCO and the 6mm SLV. The SLV wins on eye relief, the BCO wins on AFoV. Performance is very similar, IMO.

Very nice Michael. I have the 2.5mm and a few other SLVs, they are very good eyepieces. I thought the 2.5mm may have been a but much but it does get used in my shorter focal length scopes quite a bit. Are all the pop up eyeguards smooth or are there some that rattle a bit? A couple of my SLVs have rattly ones.👍

I have no intention to bump my up or run over anyones entries here, but I have been gob smacked by these books. I have seen so many + points in the past but I just didn’t get it.

I had a rare night of clear skies but I chose to read through the books instead! Joking, I had a cold”.

They are an absolute inspiration.

Well the postman delivered an old Parrot drone “smartphone fpv” goggles. These were then slightly disassembled and modded a bit and now I have a more useful set of bino straylight shields that don’t try to unfocus my eyepieces like my binobandit does. Cloudy of course, but should be good when it’s next clear.

Not so much a “what did the postman bring” but more two things that arrived previously, finally fitted together 😃

The MEF-3 fine focuser I got months ago has finally been fitted to a scope… my new FC-100DZ.

I love fine focus control on my refractors 👍

This arrived from Auntie @FLOyesterday evening. It's a customer returned EQ5 Deluxe mount.

Excuse the mess of the spare room (including the washing drying). 🙄

The place I got it from is now out of stoc,k but this  is the same fan. Cheap and cheerful so if it doesn’t work no great loss. 🙂

A nice little addition which appeared on here just in time to become a nice birthday present 👍

I’ve wanted to try one of these for a while given their reputation.

I have this on my list for Santa this Christmas with the intention to get more from the range later if I find it comfortable. Might also get a pair of the 10 and 18mm for something in my plans for 2022, spoiler = 👀...

Look forward to see how you get on with it Stu!

Which when fitted, turns the cute (but short focal length) FS-60CB, into a lovely FS-60Q (FL 600m, f/10, flat field quadruplet) 👍

Could even turn the FC-76DCU into a 954mm, f/12.5 super planetary/lunar scope… but I think realistically it will stay as an FS-60Q for now 🤔

There is somebody over on CN whole double stacks two CQ1.7 extenders on his FC 76DCU to make ~f/21, for imaging! Results look excellent
