L-Extreme delivered fast, arrived Saturday and there were NO clouds in the box

How well does it work, well here is my 2nd try with it , moon was almost full (97-98%)

Image just stretched data with no other processing. (that's for rainy day entertainment to clean it up).

Dinky little solar finder. It's supposed to be Svbony but it says Angeleyes on it. Looks good though.

Michael as you know I have the SvBony solar finder. I improved the target area by filling in the circle lines with a leaded pencil - makes it easier to see.

Used to use the Svbony solar finder. Surprised they don’t use a printed disc with easier to see markings. But it is inexpensive so nothing to,complain about.

I bought one last summer and found the sun with it. 'nuff said... Although I don't think solar is for me. I burn too easily!

Delighted to have this beauty arrive from FLO today.

I sold off all of my astrophotography kit back in the spring to pay off debt, so it’s nice to be back and building a new set up. Telescope next !

Thanks. I'm thinking another 130PDS to start with.

130PDS, TS-Optics GPU Corrector and ZWO ASI 294MC Pro is the plan, gonna take me quite a while to save up enough for each item + guiding + all the other little extras and mods. I'd like to be up and running by next autumn. Just got a new brake disk for my pier top, going to get drilling and painting that this weekend, then mount the EQ6R ! I may use my DSLR and lenses for a while until I can afford a telescope. 

I'm hoping the EQ6-R will offer a little more flexibility for upgrading in the future, my old HEQ5 was great with the 130PDS, but anything much heavier and it started to struggle a bit.

I have the same setup, albeit riding on an uncertain EQ5. I have opted for the ZWO ASI533 MC-PRO after some digging around.

If you can live with the square fov, the 533 has lower read noise (1.0e), higher QE (80% peak), and suffers zero amp glow. Paired with the 130P-DS under OK seeing conditions, it gives an ideal resolution of 1.19"/pixel.

New monitor arrived today for my solar RoR. Everything inspected as usual from my kitty cat. Apparently everything was okay, lol.

I've just upgraded my Baader T2 prism diagonal to the Zeiss BBHS T2 version. This one has 34mm free aperture Vs 32mm for the standard T2. The difference in the aperture size is very noticeable just looking at the new one. 

I just bought the bare prism from a friend here on SGL..already had the 2" nosepiece and T2 clicklock ep holder👍
