I have an Astro tech one from my ST80 and I swap over the ST80's visual back, which fits the Vixen draw-tube. I've tried the original wee diagonal and the 0.96" eyepieces, but much prefer the modern ones. Look at the difference in sizes! 

Here's what I got with the scope. Three EPs in teh cool Vixen bolt-cases, diagonal, polarscope illuminator . All in the bright green circular tub which fits the tray on the Vixen SP tripod.

There was a screw-on EP solar filter, too. I've kept that for completeness, but locked away in my man draw.

Mine just came with finder & tube rings....I've been looking for one of those 'wee' diagonals you have

An iOptron Tri-Pier to replace the shaky Skywatcher pillar mount.

That's a tested mirror, at least we know that it works as it should!

Looking forward to reading whether it solves your issues. My advice is to use the provided secondary support if possible, as it would ensure that no aberration comes from the secondary. Therefore, if you see other issues (hopefully not!), you know that these come from the primary mirror cell.

The heads of the existing shoe screws were very slightly too large to fit in the channels of the new shoe, so I replaced them with some others I had (I could have shaved a little from the new shoe instead).

Just arrived back from two weeks (long delayed) holiday in Rhodes and Amazon just delivered this… Panasonic Lumix S5 😃

Not 100% for astro use, but I will no doubt be attaching it to the scopes this Autumn/Winter and see what results I get 🤞

Funnily enough I was also in the Dodecanese for two weeks in September, although only briefly on Rodos. During my time there with a small scope I realised that I had forgotten that my small travel tripod does not have a spirit level, so I've picked these up and will buy a 3/8" nut to make a bolt-on level.

 

I was also away from home on another trip early Sept and I returned to find that Deutsche Post had thoughtfully decided to ram this parcel containing a book into my postbox

😱🤬

Thankfully the excellent book in question survived miraculously unharmed:

Nice… I took my Nikon Monarch 8x30 binoculars fortunately, and was able to view Jupiter and Saturn most nights from our balcony… much higher than in the UK right now 👍
