What did the postman bring?

The nice postman brought me 2 Explore Scientific 82 degree EPs to complement my 6.7mm one. I love the wider FOV with my Dob since objects stay at the EP for longer. Nice addition to my ES 68 degree 24mm.  Looking forward to try them soon (looking good for tonight). I think I am done with EPs for.......well now......🤣PXL_20210923_140435394.thumb.jpg.03f8a04521e999ae4230202c97524f2f.jpg

CEM70 + TriPier 🙂

Still debating with myself what should go on top of it. I'm thinking either a Celestron Edge HD 11 or a TS-Optics 10" f/8 RC. I'm Leaning towards the TS RC (for price reasons obviously) but am a bit in doubt, mostly because of collimation. cem70.thumb.jpg.c9aa63589602cc58355315e849208ba3.jpg

Postie brought me a rather nice little finder scope, courtesy of our very own Callisto. It's in brand new condition and will come in very handy on my grab and go, once I've done a bit of fettling. He also sent me a free 25mm plossl. That will probably be rehomed with a couple of neighbouring youngsters who are showing an interest in astronomy.

Thanks very much Mark - top bloke!

Oops.

I thought I would give this a go in the 130mm for lunar, planetary and doubles.  Will be interesting to see how it works alongside the Vixen 3.4HR.

Me too Jeremy! Not sure if my floaters will allow me to get the best out of them but we will see. Might end up with some higher power eyepieces for my Binoviewer (currently only have 25mm orthos), Delites perhaps that I barlow less than the 25mm. Will see.

Well my Baader T2 BBHS mirror turned up today a long with the thunder storms. Hopefully I'll be able to use it on Jupiter and see if I get an improvement over the 2" Baader standard mirror prism. Presume you've found your HR 3.4mm @Stu? Waiting on another 18.5 mm Tak LE and a GPC and then I'll take the BV out as well. The build quality of Takahashi EP's, alway feels like Christmas when they come out of the box....

Yep, found it and used it last night. I still found that somewhere around 4.5 or 5mm on the Nag Zoom was giving a punchier image so will just have to see. For great nights the 4mm should be excellent.

ASI 224 MC arrived from @FLO at warp speed nine after they got stock. I already had an IR blocking filter which I understand I need for planets.

Nice piece of kit, now I need to learn how to use it by dusk today, clear skies predicted! Heavier than I thought, 152g. Wide field lens and support unscrewed easily.
