Thanks Stardaze.

Only issue is that I fear I will quickly want the 10, then the 14 and so on.... 😀

Still.... noone said this was a cheap hobby! 😆

it's a slippery slope you're on for sure ;) The 7 is my fave I think but that's probably just because I use it the most for the things I look at with my scope's focal length

All the way from 🇯🇵: Pentax XP 3.8 eyepiece

never heard of that series Jeremy but just read this- " 3.8mm XP is the finest ~4mm planetary and double star eyepiece ever made, but..."

Sounds interesting (sorry no idea how to turn off this highlighting...)

Talentcell power pack. AZ-GTI switched on without pops and sparks and smoke 😄

They're great little batteries. With a peak 3A output it will power the AZGTI while keeping your synscan phone topped for a few sessions, before requiring a recharge. My AZGTI is likely going to a new home soon but the power brick will be kept to power a dew band.

This little beauty turned up last week. Got it off a chap in France. Condition looks as new so was very happy. Only down side was the import duty. Still less than they were new but you can’t buy them anymore so was irrelevant. Looking forward to having a play down to 2-2.5mm in my frac when seeing allows.

Great little eyepiece - I use the 2-4mm Nagler zoom so much with my refractors and even occasionally with my 12 inch dobsonian.

I thought it would be just an "occasional use" tool but it's really a "frequent flyer" I've found :icon_biggrin:

I've owned a couple of the 3-6mm Nagler zooms over the years as well. I've others that cover those focal lengths now but I might be tempted by another 3-6NZ to "compete the pair" at some point.

Have fun with that. 👍 Be careful of the diagonal nose piece. Mine went floppy and I thought the focuser compression ring was broken. The nose piece had unscrewed. 🙄

Haha! Thanks for the warning, but it already happened! Caused a minor flutter until I realised what was going on. Anyway got my Mark 1 eyeballs polished and waiting for some clear night's.

Cheers

I'm contacting Agena Astro today to try and resolve it.  My heart sank as I was building my new rig and came to the point where I realized there was no bar.  I checked each shipping box 6 times, looked in my couch cushions, you name it...it's just not there.  I worry that they just don't have something like that laying around, but maybe I'm wrong.  Hoping for good news, but I'll probably have to wait another week now to start using the thing.

Still waiting for my counterweight bar, but the post office tells me that today is the day!  I hope to god the right one is delivered and I can get going with my new toys, it's been the longest week I swear!

I am ABSOLUTELY beside myself. The box with the counterweight bar arrived today, I raced home to get it. I open the box and it was totally EMPTY. I thought I was on a prank show.

I just can’t believe it, now I have to start the process all over again of waiting, this is crazy! And I’m just really sad.
