Just received my dibond print of my veil mosaic, thrilled to say the least. The photo makes it look a little washed out when in fact it looks quite the opposite.

And here we go. One box with lots of padding material and there is another box inside that: And in that box is another box and a foam box with: My brand new 125 m

But no, it's extra padding for my Tak FC 100 DZ carry bag:

I can now be very zen when using the Tak, if I wish

Is this for doing your stretches? Careful you don't pull a histogram.

Well, whatever I do, I need to have a lie down after all that parcel opening. Entering zen mode on the yoga mat. ....JeremyS out...... 🥋🀄

I suppose it could be useful if you get "caught short" on a cold night 🙂

I hope you ordered a heated loo seat too 🙂

I'm sorry to say that you would be inconvenienced. However, tarot readings are a possibility if you cross my palm with quality astro gear.

On the plus side you can have a darn good workout while your telescope is cooling down.

My Mars book arrived yesterday and I got a email from Amazon said the price had dropped £5 since I ordered back in June 👍

Amazon had actually refunded my money for both. When I re-ordered them both were £5 cheaper.

Just think what it would be like with a Delos 14 of 17

glad you had some nice views.

One day hopefully!

If you buy Morpheus 14 and 17.5mm you'll save almost half the cost!😊👍

A 1.5mm Wera Hex key to tighten the 4 screws on the diagonal as the eyepiece holder was starting to rattle.
£3.04 the least i've spent in a long time.

Surprised FLO don't sell something similar unless i'm looking in the wrong place. I'm starting to build up the set to replace the dozen or so IKEA keys i have.

I was looking for some pick and pluck foam, to sort the flight case for my new little 72mm, but came accross this on Amazon.

Got to admit that the colour is what caught my eye... :embarassed:

But it could be useful and certainly, on paper at least, a little more versatile I think. I shall see.

So I’m not the only one with bits like this. The postman brought this  quite some time ago as you can see.. my trusty Fisher Space Pen. It’s been through hell as chemicals are frequently applied to remove virus from red zone working. It’s become something I’m afraid of losing 🤞

good choice of colour 😉 I have an identical one that lives in the detritus in the bottom of my bag- it’s sole purpose for filling in those forms you get when arriving at certain foreign airports. Easy to lose though- I think it’s my third 😂

today this got dropped off
image.png.8c12b20dd270de070c298dfb7140c960.png

Installed the driver on the W10 desktop and SharpCap picks it up just fine, tho Camera app doesn't and looking in device mangler I guess I'm not surprised as it apparently isn't a camera 😉

Still it works which is the main thing. Hasn't been LX modded not sure if I'll bother to but a quick search didn't find the how-to as the site seems to have vanished. Main aim I guess will be to have a play with imaging planets so LX isn't such an issue.

I see in Sharpcap that the slowest shutter is 1/30s on this SPC900NC where the Logi C270 goes to 1sec and the Dericam HD that I took apart for the SkyCam goes to 1/2s so I guess I have some options on which to use for the desktop and which for night sky use between the Logi and the Philips.

Did you pick it up second hand? Everywhere I've looked they seem to have been out of production for a long time.

yep, found it on the bay of E for £30, it's pretty much as new and even came in the original box. You can only get them used these days but they do come up every now and again, tho often at higher prices (>£45). Occasionally an astro-modded one pops up, last one I saw was around £50 with a serial cable (LX mod) but I didn't hit the bid/buy button on it.

Just swapped the lens out for a 2.1mm wide that I had kicking around from my cctv mods. Only gives around 60 degree FoV so it wouldn't be much use for a SkyCam, with a 1.7mm it'd give a wider FoV, perhaps 120 or so. Resolution however isn't good given this only runs to max 640x480. I did find that Skype picks up this camera quite happily even tho the camera app in W10 doesn't, shows pretty well with the 2.1mm for use as a webcam should I need it for that purpose.

Will drop the scope nosepiece into it later and have a play with one of the fracs and see how it does.
