Package   No;1 arrived just 20 mins ago. New ‘frac to get me back in the mood for astronomy again. 

Package No; 2 should be landing in about an hour or so to complement it too! Fingers crossed for some clear skies later on this evening for a first lighting!

Thanks. Yes, had an Altair Astro ED 66mm ‘frac a while back which gave me cracking pin sharp views, but sold it on. If this one gives similar views it definitely won’t be getting sold on. Just testing the focuser on it by keeping it at 90 degrees with a diagonal and one of my heaviest EP’s in. Not moved a fraction on the 2 speed gear, which holds much better than a Crayford focuser I think, unless you spend crazy money on a top end focuser.

Package No;2 arrived earlier on too. A nice Baader 2” clicklock diagonal. For the mount that I’ll be using for a while I’ve put a slightly longer dovetail on the scope to allow fitting a counter weight to the front end of the scope to give better balance on the current mount, especially when at higher declinations.

I cannot comment on what they'd be like from ebay. They may be the same, they may be different. You know, it is ebay. 

I got mine from the Bradford exchange. Real nice quality with a very shiny finish. It looks great

Actually, surprisingly it was and still is. Managed Jupiter, Saturn, double double, ring nebula and a few moon shots for tests via my Canon afocally, of which my first effort was probably best, although only a single shot. Plan to stack some of them tomorrow.

Picked up an hour ago UPS collection centre, and bought off flightyfishcake on here, a Celestron Skyris 274C camera. Seems to work great on the chimney on the roof over the road! Lol!
