Hope you devour it !

I have volumes 1&2 and they are really quite excellent.

Volume 2 is due tomorrow as FLO has some in (unless they're all gone again now).

I quite like vol 1, but I don't think I'll devour it as to me paper tastes funny! ?

There is is one question I do have about it: what's the definition of the integrated brightness of galaxies in it: is it by arc second or arc minute? I've seen different standards by internets search!

Only 11 days from FLO to me, that's faster than usual.!

Feels nicely made, nice rubber grip and surprisingly weighty.

Really nice big eye lens, I do like a big eye lens!

Strong green colour to the lens coating, is that good?

Has anyone else got or tried one of these?

I shall impatiently be waiting for dark tonight, the sky is clear and The Pleiades, Hyades and Orion await my new eyepiece! ?

Great eyepiece. Really useful for scanning the sky and star hopping.  I have the same EP. It's my favorite.

Part two of my FLO book order arrived today!

I might put time in on spring skies as over 30-odd years the number of spring nights I've had under the stars I can count on one hand and have fingers to spare. I know, that's seriously sad.

From U.K. -> Australia, it must have travelled approx 1000 miles per day ?

It is good to hear it arrived safely.

It had James name on the customs label, perhaps we should congratulate him! ?

Post person knocked this morning while I was out having blood taken this morning,
most fortunate that my Father In Law was about to sign for it.

Something I have been wanting for quite sometime and looking for since early December
? Happy astronomer me ? patience pays off, I must remember this is the case.

Some unboxing to be done.

Dog helps out removing packing material so two-legged-one can take photos.

While furry-one plays with the big box on the floor, two-legged-one plays with the smaller boxes.

This is what was inside.  The round thing with concentric circles on it is a collimation tool for my newt.  The piece of electronics down right is a pulser for the Telrad.
There are three more 2"/1.25"-adapters to be delivered.  Telescope-express were graceful to do a part delivery at no extra cost since they ran out of stock of adapters.

Either they are selling mini telrads now, or that lovely eyepiece is an absolute beast. I’ve never had a look through one of those, so am looking forward to the first light report.

I handled one at a recent Astronomy show Paul, and it is indeed a beast. I opted for its little brother the 26mm T5.

Yeah, the Nagler 31 is a hefty beast.  I had planned to order just the adapters plus the dust caps, but ended up with this.   ?   I guess part of the theme is finding stuff.  The night before I ran out of patience with my tiny finderscope.   Porridge and pasta on the menu for a while.

First light is expected to be... (checking wheather forecast)  in February.  Not a single day with clear skies for the next coming 10-days.  ?

Crikey, I knew these Tele Vue eyepieces were expensive, but sorry to hear you had to go to such lengths to get hold of one, Alan!

At least I have not had to trade in an arm or a leg yet Jeremy!

In all honesty another blood test as unwell over and since Christmas, it was not to buy an EP.

What kind of EP is that? Have you had a chance to use it yet? Good?
