I know it make no odds but I have the red SA and I think it’s as ugly as sin. The white one is gorgeous.

I got this the other day.  The standard 2” attachment on the ED80 loosened itself and my camera was left almost ‘dangling’  ££ well spent

And a few shorter cables including a QHY9 0.5m power cable and some 0.5m usb cables.

I’m just waiting to see if any Xmas visitors are taken in by the “Tartan Paint”   ?

Re: kilts. The cold winter wind blowing through my hair is enogh for me let alone blowing around other parts. ?

Just a thought. Has anyone ever done a dob in tartan?

Second hand 9mm Nagler. Arrived today.

Its the one on the left next to my 13mm for comparison purposes.

Note the 13s very long barrels.

That was it though.

He must have forgotten the TEC 140 Flourite Apo that was on my wish list......

But what is it? ?

You were supposed to guess

It's an Astro Physics .67 reducer for my SCT, I've been using the "normal" Meade 6.3 flattener / reducer for ages which isn't designed for the already flat field scope although it works OK with small sensors.

Not the Post-person, but the Charity Shop and what a find......
My first ever book about Astronomy, sadly long lost but a copy now back in my mitts, very happy.

It explains why I have such a solid grounding,
it set me up well in the early 1970's

A two inch Chroma 5nm Ha filter has arrived, just in time for Christmas.

Look forward to see how it goes when paired with my PVS-14 Night Vision on those fainter Sharpless catalog objects...

Alan

I’ll be interested to hear what you think of this filter with the Photonis tube, Alan. It certainly makes a contrast difference with my Harder tube, but I rarely use my Photonis now. And also the impact it has at your dark skies rather than my light polluted ones?
