What did the postman bring?

In February 2005 I attended Astrofest with my friend paulastro. We had booked into a hotel in Kensington, not too far from the venue. In the evening's we'd empty our rucksack's of the goodies we'd bought onto the beds and play with our numerous new acquisitions like excited children.  One of the things I bought on the Friday was a 20mm Nagler. On the Sunday we made our way home and on the Monday I was surprised to receive a parcel in the post. I was even more surprised to find that the parcel contained another 20mm Nagler. I looked for evidence of its origin but there was no indication on the packaging, neither was there any information accompanying the eyepiece. What to do?  If I phoned around, anyone could say they'd sent it. Also, if I phoned around I could have got someone into trouble for making such an expensive mistake, and I wouldn't want to get anyone into trouble!

I never thought the day would dawn when I would dip my toe into the world of AP but these arrived yesterday to go with my Canon EOS. Nothing flashy or expensive but who knows where it will lead.

Alfian - Your wallet has my deepest sympathies.

Pack them up. Send them back. You are not hooked/beyond help yet!

Gulp, what have I done, I hadn't thought, I've got 9 more toes to go.

Alfian, you should get on OK with those.  A cable release takes away a lot of shake.  I managed to get a cheap wireless one for mine that really works great too.

This week, my Postie brought me an Astro engineering shield for my Coronado PST. Courtesy of Brian here and a Celestron DSLR camera mount for my SCT.

I really would like the chance to test them out but the dreaded grey skies... hey ho!

A big thanks to @Stu for some of the most OCD packaging I have ever had the pleasure of fighting my way through

Tee hee!

The buyer of my Vixen f9 said it took him half an hour to get into it :)

Well, I like it a lot - and it definitely sinks any residual hope I had for ever figuring out what dobs are about.

Fabulous!  My eyelid does the job just fine.

Doug.

I'm glad you posted that, Doug. I thought it was a cricket box and was quite confused as to why they would be popular here
