There doesn't appear to be any one in charge of the sound quality on TV anymore, some old BBC sound engineers must be turning in their graves.

My volume control can be set from 12 to 30 for different programs and have to keep adjusting it up and down during programs as the sound fades away.

I started my (sadly customary) evening SLEEP during that! Dad, I forgive YOU!
Looking at the enraptured faces of his audience, I cannot but admire "whatever it
is Cox has"! I sense Faraday faced a rather Grimmer, more Sceptical Audience? 

Didn't John Dalton blew off  "random body parts" (or something) in his research?
