LRGB + Ha Moon

Recommended Posts

A bit of an experiment in lunar processing since I've only ever taken a handful of lunar images.

I decided to opt for a high contrast and enhanced colour approach, so I decided to capture the image in LRGB + Ha filter. I used my normal DSO setup up, a Trius 814 camera at the prime focus of an Esprit 150 and then largely followed my normal DSO processing routine: the best quality images where calibrated in CCDstack, aligned in RegiStar and stacked in CCDstack. Subsequent processing was done in PS and Pixinsight. Having produced a LRGB and Ha image, to boost contrast, I then blended the Ha result into the LRGB image via a PS luminosity layer.

Hope you like it ! :hello:
