Here is the finished image from last nights data.

21X5min exposures ISO800

ZS66 and Canon 350d

Full frame, uncropped

TBH I thought I would get more detail, there seems to be quite a bit of noise in the image. I suspect this is due to there not being enough dark frames, thats the problem with 5 min exposures, 5 darks took 25mins!!!

I also think I need more than 21 subs, I dont know if I should have taken more shorter subs :scratch:

I was however pleased with the tracking, this was done through the 8" F6 Newt and a Meade DSI. I got nice round stars :shock:

Anyway here is the image, as always any tips/pointers etc welcomed

very nice craig.

i see that you have nice sharp star across the field. I have the FF2, and its awful. I use the 300D and I showed Ian King the coma i had in my images, and he had the cheek to say it was fine!

do you use a flattener for your imaging, craig

I dont use one Paul, it's on my shopping list though so if you are selling yours..... I think there is some coma at the edge but as the image has been resized down you dont notice them
