What a difference!

What a difference a day makes. Yesterday it was dull and raining, today is sunny and 26C. Maybe waking up in Tenerife has something to do with it! :icon_biggrin:  Excellent views of the current large filament which according to "Heavens Above" describes as having a described diameter of over 280,000 Km.

Yesterday was wet and windy here, not a cloud in the sky this morning

Taken a few images of the filament, certainly the longest one for a while.

Yup.. Tenerife might have something to do with it...

i had a similar few days...cloudy/partly cloudy last two day, looking like a no hope but by about 11pm, crystal clear...

so a day and even a few hours can make a big difference.

Sunny (and windy) here. White light views are almost completely blank apart from some faculae here and there. Granulation comes and goes, bet the additional altitude (of the sun!) makes quite a difference to the views.

Enjoy!

Perfect - was there in October and had a great time. Where are you staying, out of interest? Always interested in finding good oberving sites.

Billy.

I'm fortunate to have an apartment on the West coast at sea level. My main interest these days is solar but we do get some fantastic seeing quite often for lunar and planetary viewing. My main instrument here is a C8se.  :icon_biggrin:
